Work
A working catalog of documentary projects. Some are completed and in release; some are private archives held in trust; some are in active production. All of them began with a long conversation.
The Path of the Shadows (El Camino de la Sombra)

2026 · Feature documentary · 87 min · English / Spanish
Carlos Mauricio was a university professor in San Salvador. In 1983, during the height of the Salvadoran civil war, he was abducted from a classroom by personnel acting under the Salvadoran armed forces and held for nine days in a clandestine detention site. He survived. He spent the rest of his life telling the story.
I started filming Carlos in 2008. The film is an attempt to do what Carlos himself spent his life doing — to put the story in front of an audience and let the audience decide what to do with it. The extended trailer is currently in release; the feature is being prepared for festival and theatrical distribution in late 2026.
Holocaust Survivor Testimony Archive

2014–present · Private archive · Long-form oral history
An ongoing private archive of long-form interviews with Holocaust survivors. The interviews were recorded with the families’ consent and are held in trust for them. They were given to me to keep, not to publish. A short-form companion piece — with explicit consent — is in development for 2027.
Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy — Live in D.C.
2013 · Concert film · Washington, D.C.
The Nicaraguan singer Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy — who, with his brother Carlos, wrote much of the soundtrack of the Sandinista revolution — performed in a small room in Washington, D.C. in 2013. The audience that night included a lot of people who had lived the songs. I had the camera.
FMLN 2009 Electoral Victory — Maryland
2009 · Field documentation · Maryland
The Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN), the former guerrilla coalition turned political party, won the Salvadoran presidency for the first time in 2009. In the Maryland suburbs, the diaspora gathered in a community center to mark the moment. This field record was filmed that night.
In development
I’m in early production on a series of short documentaries about Nueva Canción musicians and their inheritors in the United States, plus a research-led piece on the food and farming traditions of Ikaria. More to share when there’s something worth showing.
